Reports in France suggest that Monaco forward Thomas Lemar has refused to discuss a new contract with the club as he waits for an offer from Arsenal (via The Metro).
Arsenal’s reported interest in Kylian Mbappe has been the big story at the Emirates so far but fresh reports suggest that the Gunners are keen to seal a move for another Frenchman from the Ligue 1 champions.
Monaco grabbed the headlines in Europe last season with their exciting attacking football in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
The French champions have already lost some of their players – with full-back Benjamin Mendy reportedly set to join wide man Bernardo Silva at Manchester City – and it seems that more could follow.
Kylian Mbappe is the envy of almost every club on the planet. The 18-year-old forward has seemingly come out of nowhere and established himself as one of the most lethal strikers in Europe.
Monaco have reportedly already turned down a number of bids for Mbappe but it seems that they could lose another attacker to richer sides.

Wide man Thomas Lemar is reportedly refusing to discuss a new contract with the French champions while he waits to hear from reported interest from Arsenal.
Lemar is 21 years old and can operate either out wide or in a more central attacking role. The Frenchman has been capped five times by his country and got an impressive 14 goals for Monaco last season.
Arsene Wenger is rumoured to be a huge admirer of Lemar and French publication l’Equipe reports that Lemar could be interested in a move to the Emirates too.
It remains to be seen where Lemar will end up when the transfer window closes in September. He’s undoubtedly a very exciting young player who would add tremendous quality to this Arsenal squad.
