We have been chasing Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin for a while now, and former Saints star Matt Le Tissier claims that if we meet their valuation of the player, he will be allowed to leave, as reported by Sky Sports.
As the report suggests, we have been long term admirers of the French international. We tried to pry him away last summer, but his move away from the South Coast club was blocked – with a host of first team stars leaving the club already.
Le Tissier claims that won’t be the case this time around however, and he believes that for the right price Schneiderlin will be allowed to leave.
“It’s probably more likely that he’ll leave than stay,” Le Tissier said.
“The big question is whether a top-four side meets his valuation.”

We are facing competition for his signature from Tottenham and Manchester United (via Sky Sports), and will have to move quickly to get our man. Champions League football is likely to be a big draw for the 25-year-old, so hopefully we can rule Spurs out of the running.
Schneiderlin is exactly the kind of player we need, and his Premier League experience means he would take little time to adapt. There are other suitable players, but at the right price Schneiderlin may be the best option.
