Transfer talk is hotting up over Arsenal making a swoop for Leicester and England midfielder James Maddison this summer, with the 24-year-old becoming a ‘prime target’ for the Gunners.
The news coming from source @TheAFCBell on Twitter and covered in multiple reliable sources afterwards, says contact is expected in the coming weeks, but a deal could likely be north of £60million.
Lifelong Foxes fan and top TV pundit Gary Lineker responded to the transfer speculation linking Maddison to north London, with a short but sharp warning to the England playmaker;
“From my experience, taking a backward step never ends well.”
