Southampton star midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin admits his future is uncertain with the south coast club and much will depend on the outcome of this season.
The France international is believed to be of great interest to Arsene Wenger who requires a class defensive midfielder but is almost certainly set to stay at St Mary’s this month.
The 25-year-old strongly believes Southampton can finish in the top four and was quizzed on interest from Manchester United and Arsenal in which he responded:
That’s up to everyone’s personal choices and the club’s choice.
We are going to see where we are going to finish and what everyone’s going to do but right now I can’t predict anything.
While Schneiderlin may top many Gooners’ wish list for this January, he is almost certain to see out the season and try gain a top four spot. He’s a vital cog in their midfield and has helped take Southampton from the Championship potentially into the Champions League. This summer however it’s a different story.
We could certainly do with the Frenchman who would slot seamlessly into the Gunners midfield as a defensive midfielder and provide the cover and athleticism in the engine we’ve come to enjoy from Francis Coquelin who isn’t the world class option we crave.

Do you agree Gooners? Is Schneiderlin the missing piece of the jigsaw to supplement our creative minions? A deal this winter seems unlikely but this summer it’s all on.
