A massive 6-0 victory over Ludogorets Razgrad shows Arsene Wenger isn’t toying around with Champions League anymore, and he means business this season.
Although there were early defensive mistakes by both the centre-backs, Laurent Koscielny and Shkodran Mustafi, the Bulgarians failed to make the Gunners pay for it thanks to David Ospina making three fine saves. Hence, it was the host side that eventually took charge and made Ludogorets regret the few chances they didn’t take.
Alexis Sanchez initiated the scoring for Arsenal with Theo Walcott extending the lead with a second. An early strike from Oxlade-Chamberlain in the second half gave the Gunners their third of the evening, and a superb hat-trick by Mesut Ozil doubled the score giving Wenger a six-goal heavy victory over the Bulgarians.
