Arsenal have been dealt a blow as two of their key players have been sent home from international duty with injuries (via Sky Sports).
International breaks are usually more of an annoyance than anything else to most domestic football fans, particularly the ones with friendly matches.
Domestic action is temporarily suspended just when the season is starting to progress well but the biggest fear for managers is the possibility of injuries.
Arsene Wenger will be concerned because a couple of Arsenal players have suffered just that while away with their countries.
Both Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud have picked up knocks after France’s friendly match with Wales last Friday.

Giroud scored in the 2-0 victory but has been sent home with a thigh problem. Meanwhile, Koscielny has missed training after complaining of pain in his Achilles tendon.
It’s a blow for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal, particularly the injury for Laurent Koscielny considering how short Arsenal are at the back right now. Let’s hope the injuries aren’t too serious.
