Arsene Wenger is looking to bring Monaco youngster Alassane Diaby to the Emirates, according to the Express.

The talented young defender is still playing at youth level in France, but is already attracting attention from a number of top clubs.
We are allegedly facing competition from the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City, with several sides overseas also showing interest.
Diaby has turned out for France at youth level, despite being eligible to play for both Switzerland and the Ivory Coast.

He is not a signing that is likely to inspire a huge amount of excitement among fans, as he is another typical young Arsene Wenger signing. We are in desperate need of defenders who can make an impact straight away, while Diaby is certainly one for the future.
On the subject of Diaby’s, Abou Diaby’s future at Arsenal must surely be in doubt.
The 28 year old has suffered with form and fitness for the best part of four seasons and the Metro claim it’s likely the French international will leave the north London club when his contract expires in the summer.
