Joel Campbell has come in for plenty of criticism during his time at Arsenal, most of it justified. His manager insists that he has no intention of leaving however, and is determined to remain at the club and fight for his place, as reported by the Metro.
Campbell has struggled for game time since he made the move to Arsenal – after several spells away from the club on loan – but looks to be in for a run of games at the moment.
He has looked more comfortable recently, but still looks far from ready for a regular starting spot at Arsenal.
Injuries are the only reason he is starting at the moment, but despite that Campbell’s agent Joaquim Batica claims his client is going nowhere.
“Joel wants to be successful with Arsenal and wants to stay,” he said.
“He was very happy after scoring his first Premier League goal. He just wants to be successful and win trophies for Arsenal.

“That’s all he focused on.”
While it’s admirable that Campbell is looking to fight for his place, it’s hard to see him having any real career at Arsenal. Our squad depth is the main issue at the moment, and we can’t be relying on players of his quality if we want to challenge for the highest honours.
