The Wales international has established himself as a key man in Arsene Wenger’s plans this season and has so far scored nine times for Arsenal, more than he has scored over the course of his career at the club before August.
Vermaelen believes that Ramsey should take much credit for finding his best form and becoming an integral member of the Arsenal squad.
According to Mirror, he said:
Aaron is doing incredibly well. He showed it again against us (Belgium) in midweek with his goal.
He is the best player in the Premier League at the moment.
He is scoring goals and looking really sharp with his passing.

He’s doing extremely well.
He’s been unbelievable for us.
He got the Player of the Month award, scoring goals, playing well and showing he is important for us.
There is more to come from him because he is young.
The Gunners find themselves top of the Premier League table again after beating Norwich City 4-1 at the Emirates and Vermaelen believes they can sustain the momentum. He added:
We (Arsenal) are doing really well at the moment and hopefully we can sustain it.
Ramsey came off the bench to score his 11th goal for club and country against Norwich on Saturday to help Arsenal move two points clear at the top of the table.
Wenger benched Ramsey yesterday to give him a much needed rest ahead of the important clash against Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. But he was introduced to proceedings after just 37 minutes for Matthieu Flamini, who suffered a concussion after a hefty head collision with Alexander Tettey.
The Welsh international wasn’t effective in the few minutes he got in the first half but came up with a superb performance in the second half. His goal exuded class and showed his improved composure in front of goal this season and he capped off a great performance by assisting Mesut Ozil for the second goal.
The 22 year old has been a revelation this season and has played a very important role in the Gunners reaching the summit of Premier League table. He is in the form of his life and is one up there with the best players in world football at present and if he can maintain this form until the end of the season then Arsenal will be one step closer to end the trophy drought.
