Heading into our game against Dinamo Zagreb this Tuesday night, we all knew it was a must win game if we wanted to remain in the Champions League. The players clearly got the message, and went into the match all guns blazing.
Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil have impressed hugely in the opening 45 minutes, with the talismanic duo grabbing the goals in what was an excellent first half.
The German was particularly fantastic, and was involved in pretty much everything good about our game. Alexis started the half looking a little sluggish, and was dispossessed regularly. He grabbed a goal and an assist though, and really sprung to life as the half went on.
Check out Özil’s goal below:
We were excellent both on and off the ball, and we were snuffing out Zagreb’s attacks with ease. It looked a matter of time before we doubled our lead, and some great work from Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal saw Alexis teed up for a relatively simple finish.

With Bayern Munich doing us a favour in the other game by going 3-0 up against Olympiacos in the first half, things are looking good for us. If things remain the same then it will still be in our hands, and we’ll just need to get a 2-0 win over the Greek side in game week six.
Arsenal transfer news
It’s strange how much the mood can change at a club after a few goals, and Arsenal fans will be in far more confident mood after that superb first half. What a great way to bounce back after West Bromwich Albion, hopefully we can keep it up.
