Arsenal’s on-loan striker Chuba Akpom found the net yet again for Hull City as they progressed to the next round of the Capital One Cup following a penalty shootout victory against Accrington Stanley.
Akpom scored a goal on his league debut for Hull City on Saturday as Steve Bruce’s side defeated Huddersfield Town at the KC Stadium, with the 19-year-old getting off to a flyer in the Championship.
After a solid pre-season and, given the lack of options we currently have, Akpom’s loan came as a surprise to many with the forward showing some promising signs in the first-team set-up.
However, it seems as though Arsene Wenger wanted Akpom to experience regular football in a team that is being heavily tipped to come straight back to the Premier League.
Arsenal transfer news
Akpom was extremely prolific for the U-21s last season and netted a hat-trick in our first pre-season game against Singapore Select XI last month.
