Arsenal youngster Dan Crowley starred for Barnsley as they crashed out of the Capital One Cup after a thrilling cup tie against Everton which ended 5-3 to Roberto Martinez’s side.
After a nervy start, Crowley quickly got into the game and while playing in his favoured central role, he was constantly demanded the ball in tight areas with his deft touch evident on each occasion.
The fact that, at the tender age of 18, the Barnsley manager decided against substituting him even though the tie ended after 120 minutes of action, proves just how important he has become to their side.
And, just after the interval, Crowley netted what looked like the winner after sweet connection with the ball and guiding it into the far corner.

Crowley has long been regarded as the brightest talent currently in our development squad and with his technical qualities easily of the standard to play for Arsenal, he just needs the experience to work on the tactical side of the game.
