Arsenal’s latest signing Petr Cech has revealed that a meeting with Arsene Wenger convinced him that we could match his ambitions of winning trophies.
After weeks of endless speculation, the most improbable deal of the summer transfer window was completed to send Arsenal fans into mass hysteria.
The magnitude of this deal and what it represents has been well documented and Cech’s words have only added to the feeling many shared when hearing that the move was nearing a completion – it’s a game changer.
Having completed his medical and agreed terms, Cech put pen to paper on a four-year deal worth over £100,000 per week which once again illustrates our new-found financial power, Jeremy Wilson from The Telegraph reported.
Petr Cech to Arsenal: £10m fee on a 4yr contract at more than £100,000-a-week, taking him past his 37th birthday.

Many have doubted Wenger’s ability to attract the top players, but few can deny that he’s firmly answered those critics in recent years.
Despite the recent trophy drought we experienced, it is clear that the boss is still a respected figure in the game and if he can convince top stars that he still possesses the ambition to return our club to the pinnacle, who are we to doubt him?
