We are known for nurturing youth and bringing young talent through the ranks, and one of our bright young stars has certainly caught the eye with his recent goal.
14-year-old Trae Coyle scored an unbelievable goal from the halfway-line for the Arsenal Under-15s, with the youngster netting almost immediately from kick-off.
The goal came against Barcelona’s U15s, a team known equally for their famed youth academy – La Masia.

Coyle will have been buoyed by the recent success of other young academy prospects, with the likes of Chuba Akpom and Alex Iwobi handed first team chances in pre-season.

Arsene Wenger clearly isn’t abandoning his policy on youth, and Coyle could be a player we see much, much more of in the future.
With the financial restraints previously placed on us no longer an issue, we are likely to be less reliant on youth. It will surely be harder for our academy stars to break into the first team, but if and when they do so we can be sure they are of the highest calibre.
