Reported Arsenal target Marco Reus scored a sensational goal against Champions League finalists Juventus to justify why many clubs are pursuing him this summer.
The German wizard has been linked with us this week as reports suggest that we’re set to hijack Liverpool’s move for him as Arsene Wenger delves into his ‘£200m’ warchest (via the Express).
Our club director, Lord Harris of Peckham, revealed last week that we’re after a forward who may become our most expensive ever signing should he arrive, and rumours have been rife ever since.
“On the list is a centre-forward, but I’m not going to tell you who he is,” Lord Harris told the Daily Mail.
“We will probably have to break the club record to get the man he [Wenger] wants.”
Whether or not that man is Reus remains to be seen given that Lord Harris specified the role as a centre-forward, with the Borussia Dortmund man more of a wide player.

Either way, the 26-year-old completely bamboozled the defender before smashing his effort past Gigi Buffon to calm previous fears regarding his fitness.
Reus has been hampered by ankle trouble in recent years, but his natural ability undoubtedly remains.
