Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina starred for Colombia in their defeat to Argentina as they exited the Copa America at the quarter-final stage after a heartbreaking penalty shootout.
However, the very fact that Colombia were able to hang on until the shootout was down to a remarkable double save by Ospina to deny Argentine stars, Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero.
With a deal to sign Petr Cech set to be announced imminently (via BBC Sport), Ospina can feel aggrieved that he’ll be ousted from his previously secure position without succumbing to massive errors.

In a cut-throat industry such as football where short-term pressures to achieve results is prominent, Ospina’s predicament is the nature of the game.

According to reports, it will be Wojciech Szczesny who’ll play the role of understudy to Cech while Ospina seeks pastures new in Turkey (via talkSPORT).
