Olivier Giroud has continued his fine form with a goal against Germany this past Friday night, opening the scoring just before half time after good work from Manchester United striker Anthony Martial.
The Arsenal forward found himself in plenty of space in the box, his movement confusing the German defence. Martial made a great run down the left, beating his man and cutting it back for the French No.9.
Giroud is known for taking shots first time, and did just that as he fired a snapshot past Neuer on his favoured left foot. The German shot-stopper barely had time to react before the ball was nestling in the back of the net.

The 29-year-old splits opinion among Arsenal fans, with many believing he’s just not good enough to lead the line. He’s stepped up once again this season though, scoring with regularity whether it’s from off the bench or when given a starting berth.

Hopefully his outings with France will see him bring even more confidence back to Arsenal, and he’s able to get back among the goals after firing blanks against Tottenham.
