Olivier Giroud has continued his excellent goalscoring form by bagging the opener against Swansea, powering a header past former teammate Lukasz Fabianski to give us the lead.
We endured a difficult first half, and the entire team looked a little sluggish. Arsene Wenger clearly fired the players up at half time though, and they came out guns blazing.
Swansea were under pressure right from the whistle, and we quickly earned successive corners. Mesut Özil lashed the second one into the box, and Giroud was able to redirect it into the far corner.

With so many injuries at the moment, we need the players that are fit to be performing. Olivier Giroud is our only real option up front, so it’s great that he’s struck a rich vein of form.

Swansea were far and away the better side in the first half, and we were arguably lucky to be level at the break. We aren’t out of the woods yet, and really need to extend our lead to get some level of comfort.
