Mesut Özil really is in fantastic form at the moment, and not only is he assisting every single game, but he’s scoring with regularity as well. He is clearly in confident mood, and applied a superb finish to an Alexis Sanchez pass to open the scoring against Norwich.
The Chilean capitalised on a poor clearance from keeper John Ruddy, seizing possession in a dangerous area. He played a delightful pass through to Mesut Özil, who chipped the keeper with ease. 1-0.

We dominated the game early on, but seemed to take our foot off the gas slightly after going ahead. Laurent Koscielny’s injury and early substitution certainly didn’t help, and Gabriel Paulista was at fault when Norwich grabbed an equaliser just before half time.
Hopefully Alexis and Özil can turn it up another gear in the second half, and get us back into the lead. We can’t afford to drop more points in games of this nature, not if we want to be taken seriously as title contenders.

Arsenal transfer news
It’s been our defending which has been the problem, and Norwich have really grown into the game as it’s worn on. We’re clearly missing Francis Coquelin, while being without Koscielny is also a real concern.
We can’t use it as an excuse though, as we still have a squad more than capable of beating a team like Norwich.
