Aaron Ramsey hasn’t enjoyed the best season, and has been plagued by injuries throughout the campaign. He looks to be finding his best form once again however, and was back among the goals against Burnley at Turf Moor.
We dominated the opening exchanges, but the home side looked like they were going to be tough to break down. Things went our way after just 11 minutes though, with the Welshman breaking the early deadlock.
It wasn’t a typical Arsenal goal, and we required a bit of luck to get it into the back of the net. Alexis Sanchez saw his shot blocked, with the ball ricocheting out wide to Mesut Özil. The German playmaker looked to smash the ball between the legs of Tom Heaton, but the Burnley shot-stopper kept it out.
Sanchez got a second bite of the cherry, but there were too many bodies on the line. It fell awkwardly for Ramsey, but the 24-year-old was able to swivel and lash the ball into the roof of the net.
