Theo Walcott leveled things up against Olympiacos in the Champions League, with the Englishman making it 1-1 with 34 minutes gone after previously conceding a sloppy goal.
Our Champions League campaign is off to a truly poor start, and after losing against Dinamo Zagreb earlier this season, we are in danger of doing so again against Olympiacos.
A corner was needlessly conceded when David Ospina failed to come and claim the ball, and there was some miscommunication between our two centre-backs.
We scored practically from kick off however, with Alexis Sanchez setting Walcott free after a great run from the pacy forward.
The angle looked too tight to score, but Walcott somehow managed to squeeze it past the goalkeeper. 1-1.

Walcott has been in fine goalscoring form recently, and has made a habit of scoring right after we’ve conceded. We need to make sure we are solid defensively though, or we will certainly struggle.
Despite Walcott’s goal, our performance has been anything but positive. We really need to improve drastically if we are to have any hope of qualifying from the group stages, and failure to do so will be an absolute embarrassment given the teams we are up against.
