If you’re not watching Arsenal against Bayern Munich tonight then you’re missing a truly fantastic game. It’s been arguably one of the best goalless first halves in football, but it only stayed that way thanks to a moment of brilliance from Bayern shot-stopper Manuel Neuer.
Bayern dominated the ball, but we were creating a number of decent chances of our own – especially through Theo Walcott on the counter.
There was a fantastic moment when the pacy forward looked certain to score, with an excellent ball whipped in from Nacho Monreal. It sailed over the Bundesliga side’s defence and landed squarely on the head of Walcott, and looked as though it was destined for the back of the net.
Neuer made an acrobatic dive and stuck out a massive hand to keep it out though, somehow getting an incredibly strong wrist on the ball to claw it away.

Bayern have looked excellent, but we have been playing some superb tactical football to counter them. We could certainly send them home with nothing if we continue playing the way we have been, and consequently we could see our Champions League campaign back on track.
