Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has endeared himself further to the fans after having a fresh dig at rivals Spurs during the kit launch for our new Puma away kit in Singapore.
Standing alongside Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla, Mathieu Flamini and Petr Cech, the 23-year-old took part in a Q&A with the players away on their annual pre-season tour.
Wilshere was asked: “If you could replay any Arsenal game from the past, what would it be?”
The England star didn’t need much time to think before he gave a response – although he refrained from using the frank language we’ve become accustomed to during our trophy parades.
Arsenal transfer rumours
“Probably the one where we were 2-0 down against Spurs, and then we came back to beat them 5-2!,” Wilshere replied.

Of course, the irony in this is that Wilshere wasn’t even involved in that game, with the midfielder nursing a stress fracture in his ankle which kept him out of the entire 2011/12 season.
Also, having been involved in magical games such as the 2-1 victory over Barcelona or our back-to-back FA Cup wins, Wilshere was clearly trying to aggravate our fellow North London residents.
Hopefully Wilshere can now complete a solid pre-season before what could be an important campaign for both club and country next term.
