The incident happened during the second-half of a Women’s Super League One match that Arsenal would go on to win 1-0, thanks to a first-half strike from Chioma Ubogagu.
Scott reacted badly to a challenge from Bailey, and proceeded to throw her head towards her opponent. The referee appeared to pick up on the altercation straight away, halting play and almost instantaneously producing the red card.
The 28-year-old – who has been capped 75 times at international level – will now not be available until preparations begin for this summer’s World Cup in Canada.
