Lukas Podolski has backed up recent reports that he is hoping for a return to the Emirates at the end of the season (via Daily Mail), with the German forward finally showing his finishing prowess with a fantastic goal for Inter Milan v Udinese.
The Daily Mail reported that the World Cup winner is hopeful of returning to North London, with Roberto Mancini discussing the striker’s disappointing loan spell.
Podolski has not had a good time in Italy on the pitch, with last night’s strike finally allowing him to break his duck in his 14th appearance for the Serie A side.
Still, his finishing has never been questioned, having showed throughout his career how deadly he can be in front of goal, and it was on display once again on Tuesday night. The on loan star struck a superb shot into the top corner to give his side the lead, and will be hoping Arsene Wenger watched the match.

It’s hard to see a future at Arsenal for the 29-year-old, as we have enjoyed a fantastic spell without him. He would have no hope of getting into the current starting XI, and would be lucky to be named on the substitutes bench.
It will be a shame to see the fan favourite leave, but he will almost certainly be on his way out of the club this summer.
