Joel Campbell has really failed to impress when given the chance at Arsenal, and did so once again against West Brom. He has been thrust into the Arsenal first-team fold due to our multitude of injuries, but he’s been so poor recently that he lost his starting spot to a full-back.
His incredible miss which would have drawn us level is unlikely to change his fortunes, and really showed he shouldn’t be starting for Arsenal.
Check out the miss below:
Kieran Gibbs was given a starting berth ahead of Campbell, but the left-back wasn’t able to impress in a more forward role. His end product was lacking, and he spurned some decent chances.

He was replaced by Campbell with an hour gone, but the Costa Rican wasn’t any better. He was in acres of space a few yards in front of goal for this chance, but rushed his shot and skewed it horribly wide.
Hopefully we get some of our injured stars back soon and neither Gibbs nor Campbell are called upon as wingers again this season.
