Arsene Wenger is apparently keen on re-signing Oguzhan Ozyakup this January, with the former Arsenal star impressing hugely with Turkish side Besiktas, as reported by talkSPORT.
We sold the Turkish star back in 2012 for around £350,000 (via talkSPORT), with the youngster looking unlikely to get the game time he wanted at the Emirates. He has steadily improved since the transfer though, and now plays a key role in his side’s success.
He has understandably attracted the interest of some top clubs, and the report suggests Wenger sent scouts to watch Ozyakup during Besikta’s 1-0 win over Bursaspor last weekend.
The 23-year-old scored the only goal of the game, applying a fine finish to a fast flowing Besiktas attack.

talkSPORT’s report goes on to suggest that an £8m fee would be necessary to lure him to the Emirates, a fee we can easily afford.

Arsenal transfer news
We arguably already have a plethora of midfielders available, but with Arsene Wenger’s penchant for deploying them in wide areas we could always use more. A number of players have also proved that they aren’t of the required standard recently, so we could certainly use more depth come January.
