David Ospina looks increasingly unconvincing
That was his third mistake in four games, and all have come at a cost. He conceded a sloppy goal against Swansea City, and at Old Trafford he was guilty of poor positioning for Ander Herrera’s goal, and reacted too slowly once the ball sailed beyond him to the far post. Against West Bromwich Albion, he came out and missed the ball completely to gift the opposition an undeserved goal. Even more shocking was his other mistake that went unpunished – right at the end of the game, he fumbled a shot hit straight at him, but fortunately for us, it ricocheted off the crossbar. Wojciech Szczesny started in the semifinal and although he looks like he will leave this summer, I don’t think Ospina’s performance today would have given the manager an easy choice. Will he stick with Ospina or will he bring in the Pole from the cold?
