Alexis Sanchez has been sensational since making the move to the Emirates this past summer, and Barcelona are understandably starting to regret letting the Chilean leave, according to the Daily Mail.
Barca board member Ariedo Braida is a huge fan of the 26-year-old, and can’t understand why he was allowed to leave the Nou Camp.
He believes our fantastic forward is one of the best in the world in his position, and claims he would happily have him at any club.
“I’d like Sanchez on at all my clubs, but sometimes can’t,” he said.
“Alexis Sanchez is a great player, one of the world’s best in his position. I know him a lot, has an exquisite technique.”
When asked why the Spanish giants allowed the tireless star to leave, he seemed as confused as the rest of us.
“That I do not know. I was not at the club at that time and I can not put myself in that situation,” he continued.
“I only started my position this month. I do not know what reasons the club had to let him go, but now Sanchez is one of the best in the Premier League and is at a top level in world football.”
Thankfully Sanchez should return to the team this Tuesday after recovering from a hamstring injury, as he was sorely missed against Tottenham this past weekend.
Hopefully he can inspire us to a dominant victory over Leicester City, so we can move on from the North London derby and return to winning ways.
