The England striker bagged an impressive hat-trick for the Gunners as they romped to victory at home to Galatasaray, winning 4-1, which secured Arsenal’s first three points in the Champions League this season.

The most important thing was we got our three points on the board. We needed that after the first game in the group.

We’ve set the benchmark now and we’ve really got to try and grow on that positive win. From now on we want to get three points in every single game.
The youngster scored a superb hat-trick as Arsenal put Galatasaray to the sword in this Champions League encounter. It was an outstanding performance in which Welbeck showcased all the major qualities one would hope to see in a modern striker.
His work rate is exemplary, he has no hesitation about dropping into midfield to fill in for his team-mates, he holds the ball up well and his passing is consistently accurate. His blistering performance caused a few comparisons with Thierry Henry; and although that’s hugely premature, he showed yesterday that he has the talent to emulate the Frenchman.
