Arsene Wenger has contacted Kylian Mbappe directly to discuss a summer move to Arsenal, according to French newspaper L’Equipe (via the Independent).
The teenager is currently the hottest property in Europe and is being chased by a host of clubs, including the Gunners.
However, today’s latest claims Wenger phoned the teenager to speak directly about a move, which is likely to be for a world-record fee.
The Arsenal boss reportedly also spoke to the striker about his whole career going forwards and advised him how to manage his options.
L’Equipe also report that the player’s representatives are concerned about Arsenal not being in the Champions League, which directly contradicts previous speculation.

There are also claims this morning that Mbappe has held talks with Zinedine Zidane with los Blancos attempting to lure him to the Bernabeu.
Apparently the Liga side have promised they will sell either Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale or Karim Benzema, which should free up space for Mbappe to play regularly.
Meanwhile, Le Parisien have reported that Paris Saint-Germain have offered a massive £119 million offer for the France international.
The race for Mbappe is certainly hotting up, with speculation flying about, and let’s not forget there is still a chance he could opt to remain in Monaco.
What does seem certain is that Wenger could play a key role in his decision-making, and that Arsenal are not out of the race yet.
