Arsene Wenger has lavished praise on Wellington Silva after the young forward secured a season-long loan deal to Bolton Wanderers as he looks to build his name in England, the boss told Arsenal Player.
Silva, after various loan spells since being signed by Wenger in 2011, finally secured a work permit in order to play in England and we’ll get to analyse his capabilities on these shores.
Dubbed as the ‘new Neymar’ over the past few years (via the Daily Mail), Wenger believes in Silva’s qualities and stated that Bolton have just landed themselves a very good player for the season.

“He’s a creative, tricky, quick player,” Wenger told our media channel when speaking about Silva.
“He’s absolutely stunning to watch and I believe Bolton will be surprised by his quality.

“I believe he will do extremely well because he has gained a lot of experience in Spain, he has come back to England and I am confident he will have a big impact in the Championship.”
Wenger’s opinion on Silva is surprising given that the public perception was that the Brazilian didn’t have a future with us; although the above comments suggest otherwise.
The 22-year-old favours being deployed on either wing which means that he will have to work extremely hard in order to displace the players currently occupying those roles.
Hopefully, Silva can gain some valuable experience and return determined to kick-start his Arsenal career.
