Arsene Wenger has hinted that Arsenal are ready to spend big to keep hold of star man Alexis Sanchez following Sunday’s 3-1 win over Bournemouth.
The Chile international was once again Arsenal’s match-winner scoring twice as the Gunners bounced back from a run of three draws with a victory.
The 27-year-old has now scored 10 goals this season but speculation over his future continues to swirl with the forward yet to agree a contract extension.
Sanchez’s current deal expires in 2018 and Manchester City and Juventus have both been linked with a move for the Gunner while the latest rumours have claimed he could be tempted by a lucrative offer from China.
Reports have also claimed the Chilean wants a deal worth £250,000-a-week to stay at Arsenal and Wenger has hinted the club are ready to splash the cash on their talisman.
“It is important [to keep him] how important I don’t know. We will not do that [agree a new contract] tonight and we have some time in front of us,” he said according to Standard Sport.

When asked if Sanchez’s performances were increasing how much he was worth he added: “You like us to spend money so you should be happy.”
Victory leaves Arsenal three points behind leaders Chelsea and still unbeaten since the opening day and Wenger hailed Sanchez’s performance at the Emirates.
“Sanchez, even when he looks dead he’s still alive and finds always the resources to do something special when you win the ball back,” he explained.
“He has that conditioning that when the ball comes to him again he finds always that extra gear to be dangerous.”
After another superb display all at Arsenal be hoping the club do whatever they need to to keep hold of Sanchez and sort out a new deal as quickly as possible.
