Tomas Rosicky played a key part in our 3-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup on Sunday and Arsene Wenger has praised the midfielder.
Having watched Manchester United draw with Cambridge United on Friday and Chelsea and Manchester City eliminated by Bradford City and Middlesbrough respectively on Saturday, there was every chance Wenger was worried there would be another upset at the Amex Stadium.
Yet there were no such concerns on the South Coast as although the victory was not always convincing, we never really looked too troubled by Brighton.
Rosicky put in a Man of the Match performance, running the game from the middle of the park with some superb passing and vision which saw him provide the assist for Mesut Ozil’s goal and then combine brilliantly with Olivier Giroud to score himself.
After the match Wenger was understandably full of praise for the 34-year-old.

“He was wonderful. A player we all love. If you love football, you love Rosicky. On top of that he’s a fantastic character, scored and I’m very pleased for him,” the Frenchman told Arsenal.com.
We are now in the draw for the fifth round and are clearly among the favourites with the Blues and City out and Man United and Liverpool having to play replays.
