Arsene Wenger is ready to continue with David Ospina in goal for Arsenal’s Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
The Colombia international has featured in all Arsenal’s European games this season and is set to be retained at the Allianz Arena, according to The Telegraph.
The decision could be seen as a gamble with Cech the clear No.1 at Arsenal, and the only man in the squad to have won the Champions League, although Ospina has been the club’s cup goalkeeper this season and has done little wrong.
Cech has come under scrutiny at times, particularly after the 3-1 defeat to Chelsea where he gifted Cesc Fabregas the ball for the Blues’ third goal, and there were claims he could be dropped against Hull, but featured and kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win.
Wenger has reportedly been impressed with Ospina’s form in the Champions League and is confident he can cope with what will surely be a tough test against the German champions on their own turf.
The report also states that Ospina will also start the FA Cup fifth round clash against Sutton United on Monday as Arsenal face the lowest ranked team left in the competition.
