Arsene Wenger will leave Arsenal in the summer but there are still uncertainties over how many players and staff will follow him out the door.
Perhaps the biggest name player whose future is up for debate right now is Jack Wilshere whose current Arsenal contract is set to expire in a few months.
Wilshere obviously has a close relationship with Arsene Wenger so there was a growing feeling that Wenger’s impending exit will mark an end for the player too.
Now, Wenger has provided an update on Wilshere’s contract and claims that he is still confident about his future.
“The latest conversation I had with Jack it looks positive for the club,” Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.

“I am not involved anymore in contract negotiations but, of course, I’m still in touch with Jack and if he wants my advice I will give it to him.
“I am convinced like always that his future is here. It was always my wish and I think it will happen.”
It seems that Arsene Wenger is hugely confident that Jack Wilshere’s future is at the Emirates. It remains to be seen whether that will be the case and we can only wait and see.
