Arsene Wenger has ruled out signing a new goalkeeper this summer despite speculation linking Arsenal with a host of stoppers.
The Gunners faced one of their reported targets, Jordan Pickford, on Tuesday night as they beat Sunderland 2-0 at the Emirates.
Arsenal have also been linked with a move for Kasper Schmeichel and Rui Patricio but Wenger has ruled out bringing in another goalkeeper.
“We have plenty of goalkeepers,” he said via The Metro. “We have Petr Cech, [David] Ospina, [Wojciech] Szczesny and [Emiliano] Martinez.
“If there’s anyone we don’t want to buy it’s another goalkeeper.”
Wojciech Szczesny will return from a loan spell at Roma at the end of the season and Wenger’s comments suggest he may well still have a future at Arsenal.

David Ospina is expected to leave and with Petr Cech set to turn 35 shortly, a new long-term first choice No.1 is needed.
Szczesny, meanwhile, has played a key role for Roma who are currently second in Serie A and enjoyed a fine 3-1 win over Juventus at the weekend.
It now sounds as if he will compete with Cech for the goalkeeping spot next season with Emiliano Martinez as back-up should Ospina depart.
