Arsene Wenger has confirmed his interest in Lyon star Clement Grenier, claiming they are following the 22-year-old who is in a similar mould to Samir Nasri.
The playmaker who is a graduate from the Lyon youth academy has represented France at all age levels up to Under-21s and stole Ligue 1 headlines recently with a 30-meter free kick against Nice. His performances have captured the eye of Wenger who is looking to reinforce his squad this summer.
The youngster has been a mainstay for the French outfit this season and has drawn comparisons with French international and former Gunner Samir Nasri as he can operate behind a striker or on the wing with ‘interesting qualities’.

Arsene Wenger said of his interest in the Lyon star to Telefoot:
We are following him. His intelligence of play pleases me. He has interesting qualities. He reminds me of Nasri.
Arsenal are not solely in the market for another attacking midfielder with a striker and defensive midfielder the priority. But if the rumours of selling Gervinho are true than an acquisition like Grenier would be ideal as he can operate on the wing.
The Ivorian is reportedly attracting interest from Lyon, so perhaps a swap deal could eventuate. That would be brilliant!
