Reports in France claim that Arsene Wenger is willing to break the world transfer record for Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe (via The Metro).
It could be one of the most incredible football transfers of all time. Arsenal are apparently stepping up their pursuit of Monaco hitman Kylian Mbappe.
The Gunners have reportedly had bid rejected for the 18-year-old and manager Arsene Wenger is now willing to come back in with a world record offer.
The record currently stands €105 million for Manchester United’s move for Paul Pogba last summer but the Gunners’ offer would far eclipse that.
French publication L’Equipe is reporting that Arsenal are prepared to pay €140 million to sign the man who scored 26 goals for the Ligue 1 champions last season
Arsene Wenger is clearly a fan of the player as he recently told Spanish publication beIN SPORTS.

“He thinks he needs to play,” Wenger said of Mbappe. “But I’d say the boy has made enough of an impression to be sure that a club who spends £100 million for you gives you the red carpet treatment.
“Nobody will buy a player for a £100m and say, ‘Come on, sit in the stands.'”
This could be a slight dig at Real Madrid who are also reportedly interested in the French teenager.
Arsene Wenger was spotted in the South of France yesterday and these fresh reports only add to the rumours of a move for Kylian Mbappe. The French teenager is one of the most exciting young players on the planet and any move for the Monaco man would shock the football world.
