Jack Wilshere has said he is aiming to prove Arsenal wrong for their decision to get rid of him when he comes up against the Gunners for West Ham on Saturday (via Football.London).
It’s going to be strange for Jack Wilshere on Saturday afternoon as he prepares to take on former club Arsenal for the first time in his career,
The Englishman completed his move to West Ham United over the summer and is due to face off against the Gunners on Saturday.
“First of all, I’ve got to concentrate on football and I quite fancy our chances. I obviously know them really well,” Wilshere said ahead of the match.
“They’ve got a new manager, but I know the players, so hopefully it’ll be a good time to play them.
“It’ll be a strange one for me as I was never able to go there and play when I went out on loan as you can play against your parent club, but it’s one I’m looking forward to.

“It’s down to me to prove a point to Arsenal that they were wrong to get rid of me.”
The fact that Jack Wilshere didn’t really reach his potential at the Emirates is a cause of frustration for every Arsenal fan. The midfielder just needed to play regular football after returning from injury and it’s good that he has found that at West Ham.
