Injured midfielder and Arsenal star Jack Wilshere has re-assured fans that he intends to stay-put after speculation of a mass exodus of players increases after a very poor start to the season.
Arsenal endured a horrible transfer window after the high profile departures of Cesc Fabregas, who wanted to return to his boyhood club, and furthermore both Samir Nasri and Gael Clichy who were probably offered massive wads of cash at Manchester ‘moneybags’ City.
The young Englishman told the Evening Standard:
No disrespect to Manchester City but Arsenal is the perfect home for me right now.
Some players have got their price but, to be honest, that’s not the way I look at the game.
All I think about is playing at the highest level and in the top competitions so I can measure myself against the best in the world.

I really am happy at Arsenal at the minute. Obviously, I want to win things and I want to do it with Arsenal.
It is great to see that fading quality of club loyalty still resonate in some up-and-coming footballers. Hopefully the Englishman will have many more great years with Arsenal and a few trophies to go with them!
