Jack Wilshere has claimed that Arsenal wi ll get chances in Madrid next week and that this Europa League semi-final tie isn’t over (via Arsenal.com).
It was a hugely disappointing night for Arsenal as Antoine Griezmann seized upon a Laurent Koscielny mistake to equalise late on.
The Gunners controlled the match against ten-man Atletico but were unable to secure the first leg advantage.
Arsenal will now have to travel to Madrid’s home where Diego Simeone’s men haven’t conceded a goal in months.
It’s a daunting prospect but Arsenal’s Jack Wilshere is confident they can get the job done.
“We’re going to have to take the positives from tonight as we created loads and loads of chances,” Wilshere said after the match.

“They have a great goalkeeper, but at the same time we found ways through their defence and we have to keep doing that.
“Hopefully, a little bit of luck will be on our side on the night.”
The Gunners will certainly need their fair share of luck to reach the Europa League final. Atletico Madrid are an incredibly solid team defensively but that could potentially work in Arsenal’s favour as they push forward in search of a few goals which would make the tie safe.
