Arsenal start Granit Xhaka has insisted that the club are ready for a top-four finish in the Premier League (via Goal.com).
It was a good response from Arsenal to come back from a goal behind to draw with Liverpool at the weekend.
The Gunners have made a habit of coming back from behind to gain a result and now, Granit Xhaka has claimed that Arsenal are ready to make the next step in the Premier League.
“We knew we would not lose this game because we were so good and showed that character again. If you see this game, you can see we are ready for the top four,” Xhaka claimed after the 1-1 draw on Saturday evening.
“Each game we know what we do,” he went on. “We know the opposition well, where they are good and where they are not. He (Emery) is important. He helps us, not only me but all the players, with the small things. The tactical things. You can see that on the pitch.
“A lot of small things have changed. We have great character. If you are 1-0 down for example against Liverpool, we come back and it’s not the first time.”

It’s a bold claim but not an unlikely one from Granit Xhaka. Arsenal have been hugely impressive in recent months and that continued on Saturday evening. They may not catch the top two or three teams but it should be between Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur for fourth place.
