Yannick Carrasco’s camp has reportedly ‘refused to confirm’ that the player is in talks with Arsenal over a transfer.
He’s a player who was reportedly close to an Arsenal move earlier this year and the interest has returned during the summer.
It’s clear that the Gunners are in the market for a wide man and in many ways, Yannick Carrasco fits the bill.
Carrasco is a pacy goalscoring winger who played a big part for Belgium when they finished third in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal in recent weeks but it seems as if the player and his team want to keep it under wraps.
The reliable Kristof Terreur has claimed that Carasco’s camp ‘doesn’t want to confirm’ talks with Arsenal have or are currently taking place.
There’s little more to suggest that the situation will change. A recent report from Football.London detailed the troubling behind-the-scenes situation with Arsenal’s recruitment.
The odd thing about the update that the quotes attributed to Sport are the quotes that he made with Belgium and triggered Sport to write a story that he was close to Arsenal. So it isn’t an update. His camp doesn’t want to confirm talks with the Gunners. #afc https://t.co/xNdewZ7Iwr

The Gunners are without a Head of Recruitment and are therefore missing the key person to pull transfer policy together.
There are still two months to go in the transfer window with pre-season training set to begin in three weeks. Ideally, new signings will be completed by then but it would be a surprise to see that Yannick Carrasco is one of them.
